IT stood proud along North Tce for 161 years, but slowly the Old Royal Adelaide Hospital is coming down.

Now rebadged as Lot Fourteen, as part of its planned transformation to an innovation precinct, work is continuing on demolishing some of the buildings to make way for what Premier Steven Marshall says is one of Australia’s most exciting urban renewal projects.
But the history of the 7ha site won’t be completely lost. In the State Budget, $43.9 million was set aside to refit and repurpose seven buildings at Lot Fourteen.
This includes heritage buildings on North Tce. The site will feature a “dedicated start-up hub”, consisting of 650 desks to be overseen by South Australia’s Chief Entrepreneur.
Lot Fourteen will also include a National Aboriginal Art and Cultures Gallery and an International School of Culinary Excellence, Hospitality and Tourism.
