A homeless man has unleashed a tirade of courtroom abuse following accusations he damaged property at the Adelaide Police Station

Representing himself by video link, Anthony Bevan-James Anderson, 44, pleaded guilty in the Adelaide Magistrates Court to three counts of property damage between May 13 and 14.

However, Anderson pleaded not guilty to a charge of damaging property at the Wakefield Street station on May 14, leaving an estimated damage bill of between $2500 and $30,000.

An aggressive Anderson denied the charge before spitting on a desk while being led away by officers, addressing apparent “corrupt f---s” in the judicial system.

“I never touched a building at SAPOL,” Anderson said.

“I didn’t. That crime never actually occurred.”

However, he pleaded guilty to damaging property of the education department on May 13 at Hindmarsh and property damage at the State Administration Centre in Adelaide the following morning where he smashed windows with a hammer.

Police said he was last seen riding down a lane onto Pirie Street and was later arrested in Thebarton.

The court heard he also damaged four glass windows at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on May 14.

“You can’t beat police corruption,” Andrews said after pleading guilty.

Anderson, who did not apply for bail as he had “nowhere to go”, will face a pre-trial conference in June.
