We asked for your help to find Adelaide’s best burger joints and close to 2000 people answered the call.

CITY
1. Bread & Bone Wood Grill, 15 Peel St, city
With more than 140 votes, Bread & Bone Wood Grill is easily one of the city’s most popular burger joints.
Managing partner Mark Veall believes it is the Peel St eatery’s unique wood grill cooking technique that sets it apart.
“It gives everything a nice smoky flavour, and we also put a big focus on making delicious flavour combinations that aren’t too complicated,” Mr Veall says.
A changing menu means that every month, even regular customers have a new burger to see their teeth into.
This month’s addition – Barossa’s Most Wanted – is a grilled chicken burger topped with thick-cut Barossa bacon, German sausage, purple sauerkraut and honey mustard dressing.

EAST/INNER SOUTH/HILLS
1. Nordburger, 168 The Parade, Norwood
Since opening its flagship store on The Parade in 2013, Nordburger has quickly become a popular spot for any burger fan.
Receiving 37 per cent of votes for the East, Inner South and Hills area, Nordburger was the region’s clear winner.
With a cult following and four stores across Adelaide, Norburger is a burger institution in the state.
Its namesake burger – The Nordburger – combines a soft bun, housemade beef pattie, salad and tangy NORD sauce to create the perfect combination.

SOUTH
1. Fudd’s, 3/40 Sandpiper Cres, Aberfoyle Park
Since it opened in 2015, Fudd’s has become the go-to burger destination in the south.
Owner Mark Ludgate is an Adelaide burger veteran having co-founded Burger Republic Hyde Park before opening Fudd’s in Aberfoyle Park.
Running the outlet alongside his wife, Ali, aptly nicknamed Mrs Fudd, the couple puts a huge focus on good quality ingredients and supporting local producers.
From the Classic Fudd to a Hot & Spicy, Fudd’s have burgers to suit all tastebuds.

NORTH
1. Pickled Duck, 993 North East Rd, Modbury
This North East Rd eatery quickly became known for its loaded milkshakes but now it’s The Pickled Duck’s burgers that are drawing the crowds.
Traditional burger favourites sit on the menu alongside modern takes like The Italian Job – complete with mozzarella and pesto – and The Game Changer vegan burger.
Owner Nick King says consistency and good quality ingredients are the secrets to a perfect burger.
“We try to always change things up with different trends that are happening both in Adelaide and interstate,” Mr King says.

WEST
1. Nordburger, 259 Port Rd, Hindmarsh
This American-style burger joint has been creating waves in the west, since opening its Hindmarsh store in 2015.
There are more than 10 types of burgers on the menu, from a spicy chicken burger with chipotle mayo, to a mushroom burger with its famous NORD sauce for the vegetarians.
Add some crunchy tater tots and a decadent Snickers milkshake and you’ve got yourself heaven on a plate.
Diners also have the option to grab a seat at the bar and watch the burger masters in action, flipping patties and frying fries.
It’s all part of the Nord experience.
