A Smithfield woman has faced allegations she stole a $2000 ‘Mechanical Sweetie’ vending machine in the Barossa, and asked the magistrate how she could see the CCTV footage.

A Smithfield woman is facing allegations she stole a vending machine, worth several thousand dollars.
Sarah Louise Carter faced the Tanunda Magistrates Court on Monday charged with the theft of a vending machine on November 5 last year from an address at Lyndoch.
Police prosecutor Hill alleged that Carter stole the ‘Mechanical Sweetie’ vending machine belonging to Austvending was valued at $3,000.
Magistrate Terrence Forrest remarked that it was an unusual case after reading the allegations handed to him.
“I know,” replied Carter.
Carter, 30, who lives in Smithfield asked Magistrate Forrest how she could attain a copy of CCTV footage the victim held of the alleged theft.
“I’ve got too much going on right now looking after my children,” Carter said.
The matter was adjourned to the same court on 19 July at 11:30.
