Plans to build six bulky good shops along Railway Terrace in Nuriootpa have been released to the public
A Barossa developer has tabled plans to build at least six new shops in Nuriootpa’s employment zone, in hopes another six are to follow in the future.

Plans to build a new shopping hub in the heart of the Barossa have been tabled, with the estimated project costing $1.2m.
Barossa developer Ian Mader submitted plans to the Barossa Council to build six bulky good shop with hopes to build more in the future along Railway Terrace, Nuriootpa.
“It is anticipated that this arrangement of tenancies will provide a range of employment, generating businesses servicing the local community which both improve and complement the amenity and existing uses within the locality,” the report said.
“The bulky goods tenancies will provide a frontage to a state maintained road with convenient access and linkages to the surrounding uses within the employment zone.”
The plans highlight the use of the commercial stores with unit one designated for light industry use.
Units two, three, five and six are designated for bulky goods use and unit for set for warehouse use.
All together to building will be 1156sq m with the site servicing a 20-space parking area, of which one space will be reserved exclusively for use by people with disabilities.
The documents also highlight an additional six units to the left of the site for future expansion.
According to realestate.com.au, the property sold for $160,000 in January 2020.
The plans are currently out for public notification until September 28.
