A man has died and another has been injured after a serious crash at Lewiston, near Two Wells, early Monday morning.
Just after 10am, the 75-year-old Lewiston man in a MG and another 75-year-old Lewiston man in a Ford collided at the intersection of Boundary and Dawkins roads.
Both vehicles veered on to the dirt and into a nearby tree.
The driver of the MG died at the scene, while the Ford driver was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for minor injuries.
Parts of Dawkins and Boundary roads were closed for most of the morning and early afternoon, and have now been reopened.
The man’s death takes the number of lives lost on South Australian roads this year to 65, compared to 77 at this time last year.
