Few 21-year-olds have found their dream job but South Australia’s best lash technician couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
From hundreds of nominations and a hotly contested shortlist of 20, Abbey Fiegert has been crowned SA’s queen of lashes in our latest Best Of poll.
Ms Fiegert says a lot of trust goes into her work at Abbey Grace Artistry, which includes enhancing the length, curl, fullness, and thickness of natural eyelashes by extending them with either synthetic or human extensions.
“I absolutely love it,” Ms Fiegert said.
“I love being apart of my clients’ life; when they come in it’s almost like a therapy session, it’s just such a rewarding job.”
After starting her home studio in Murray Bridge back in 2017, Ms Fiegert juggled another part-time job as well as her lash clients before making the move to Adelaide in 2019.
“It started to get way too busy. I would finish my other part-time job and then start working after hours so people could get their lashes or brows done,” she said.
“After I moved to Adelaide, clients just kept coming and now I work full time five days a week out of my home studio.
“People just want to feel good about themselves, especially after last year, but I am finding lashes are becoming a necessity for people.”
