How does the saying go? Love what you do and you will never work a day in your life?
That is exactly the case for SA’s best pilates instructor, as voted by our readers.
Danielle Winter of KX Pilates, Mile End, said her addiction to the exercise had grown over the past three years.
“I was a professional tennis player but once that finished up I had to find something else I could be as passionate about and pilates fell into my lap,” she said.
“I was a client for around a year before I began instructing but I always wanted to be an instructor.”
While the workouts may look easy, Ms Winter said she had had more than her fair share of people licking their wounds after each session.
“It’s great when you get people come in and think it will be a walk in the park but they end up leaving with jelly legs,” Ms Winter said.
“The feedback the next day is always that they are super sore in all the right places but they end up becoming addicted like I was just by the feeling of it.
“It’s just the best work out.”
