Love Island Australia has debuted its newest season where contestants look for love – but the two Adelaide women have bonded over the difficulties of finding a good partner in their hometown.
Representing SA are the two vastly different girls, Savanah Badger, a city girl law graduate and Nakia Pires, the countryside horse lover.
The pair met for the first time on the TV show in Spain and shared in the excitement of hailing from the same city and the woes of looking for love at home.

It was the 26-year-old Savanah who immediately asked the hard-hitting question of: “What do you think of the Adelaide guys?”
The 21-year-old Nakia replied, “we’re in a drought. I feel like we have been in a drought.”
Savanah, feeling validated in her troubles of finding a partner at home, took the opportunity to outline what she felt was the problem was with the local men and the small feel of Adelaide.
“Adelaide is like a country town and the guys in Adelaide are all pale, they don’t go to the gym because nobody in Adelaide is motivated,” she said.
“And because it’s like a country town you get with one guy and then it eliminates that whole group of friends so you just have to f**k off the rest of them and then you’re like: ‘Cool, I’m out of guys now’.”
Nakia agreed, nodding at how small Adelaide is and adding that “everybody’s been with everyone”.
Since that initial meeting, the two girls have been in the Spanish villa for almost a week and they are working hard to build a connection with somebody.
