Even Adelaide’s most rich and famous have a side hustle.

While the everyday Joe may complete online surveys or open a Esty shop to make some extra dough, SA’s celebrities' are bringing in the big bucks by sending out birthday wishes to their biggest fans.

Apps such as Cameo and Swysh allow fans to commission some of their favourite A-listers – and even D-listers – to record a personalised video message for themselves, friends and colleagues.

Here is how much it costs for a message from your favourite celeb.

1. Taylor Walker

Price: $250

Priced at a jaw-dropping $250, Adelaide Crows veteran Taylor Walker came in as the most expensive out of Adelaide’s celebs across Swysh and Cameo.

Walker and his wife Ellie recently announced they are expecting a third addition to their growing family.

2. Hugh Sheridan

Price: $237

Adelaide favourite Hugh Sheridan donates all funds from the personalised videos to the Polished Man charity which aims to end violence against women and children.

The actor and singer charges $237 for personal videos and a whopping $1659 for promotional business videos.

3. Lachie Neale

Price: $200

Lachie Neale’s 2020 season was one of the most dominant in AFL history as he won the Brownlow Medal, Leigh Matthews Trophy and the AFL Coaches Association Award as well as just about every media award going around.

The SA raised midfielder now charges $200 for personal videos on the Swysh site.

4. Travis Boak

Former Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak continued to prove age is just a number by putting together another stellar season in 2022.

In the off-season the 34-year-old has turned to Swysh to make some extra cash sending birthday wishes and shout outs to his biggest fans for $200.

5. Ebony Marinoff

The hardworking midfielder and three time premiership player was one of the standouts of the inaugural AFLW season, earning All Australian honours and claiming the NAB Rising Star award.

Fans can buy personalised videos from the 24-year-old if they have $200 on hand.

6. Tom Jonas

The Port Adelaide skipper only charges his fans $150 for a personalised video on Swysh.

Jonas reached his 200th game at the back end of the 2022 season and will enter his thirteenth season at the club in 2023.

7. Rory Sloane

Crows star Rory Sloane was drafted to Adelaide in 2008 from TAC Cup side, Eastern Ranges, and has been a fan favourite after he won his first Club Champion award in 2013.

Teammate Taylor Walker is not the only Crow expecting a little one in the coming months. Sloane and his wife Belinda announced they are expecting a fourth child together.

The midfielder said he “tries to have bit of fun” with his Swysh shout-outs.

8. Erin Phillips

Port Adelaide AFLW captain Erin Phillips delivers videos containing birthday wishes and motivation speeches, but draws the line at singing.

9. Kween Kong

Kween Kong became a house hold superstar after finishing third in season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under earlier this year.

Kong moved to Adelaide in 2013 and founded the House of Kong which aims to create work opportunities for its queer members through drag performances at Rhino Room and Sparkke at the Whitmore.

The Drag Queen charges $127 for personal videos and $318 for promotional business videos.

The sales executive and body confident ambassador charges $80 for personal videos and $557 for promotional business videos.

11. Hans

Former Sunday Mail columnist Matt Gilbertson, who performs internationally under the stage name Hans, charges $72 for personal videos.

Adelaide’s beloved cabaret superstar fell and fractured his spine in four places and shattered his foot and ankle on a ship off the coast of Turkey in August.

12. Hayley Leake

Hayley Leake stood on narrow pegs for five hours during a gruelling test on last year’s Survivor and went on to become 2021 champion.

Leake uses the funds from her Cameo videos to raise money for people living with chronic pain across metropolitan and regional Australia.

While Swysh already donates 20 per cent of all proceeds to local charities, Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Paul Izzo sends the rest of the funds to the Childhood Cancer Association.

The former Adelaide United gloveman joined Melbourne Victory in July after two years with Greek side Xanthi where the keeper recorded 31 clean sheets in 50 appearances.

16. Reilly O’Brien

Adelaide ruckman Reilly O’Brien has only grown in popularity since he was picked up by Adelaide in the 2014 AFL Rookie Draft following a strong season with Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup.
