TikToker shares packing hack that gives you instant outfits on holidays

Not only does it save you suitcase space, but you'll also have ready-to-wear looks at the drop of a hat. 

Preparing for a holiday fills me with fear, mainly because I’m yet to master the art of packing like a pro. 

Whether it be optimising space, arriving with wrinkle-free clothing or bringing the perfect amount of clothes - I suck at it all. 

Instead, I chaotically pull things from my wardrobe and shove them into my suitcase, intentionally overpacking in the hopes that future me will just have sooo many things to pick from in order to choose the perfect outfit. 

But the reality is, I’m usually left with a bunch of mismatched clothes and no outfits to wear.

According to one style and travel influencer, Amelia Liana, this all-too-common scenario can be avoided with just a teeny bit of extra planning. 

OK, who are we kidding… she treats this like a professional sport, and it might require a solid couple of hours to prep, but it’ll all be worth it. 

The hero of this hack is the humble ziplock bag and it promises to save you stress, space and time (in the long run!)

The DIY packing cubes that give you instant outfits

Taking to TikTok, Amelia shows how she uses ziplock bags as DIY packing cubes to organise all of her holiday looks.

She compiles different outfits for different days and occasions and then when she’s on holiday, she just chooses a bag and she’s got a ready-to-wear outfit!

“I organise everything into outfits, so I lay each outfit on the floor so I can decide which ones are too much and which ones are coming with me,” she explains. 

“I also take pictures of each look so I can swipe through on my phone that day and pick what to wear. 

“Then I take each outfit and I put it in its own reusable freezer bag. That way it’s easier for me to pick what I want on the day.”
