Target's X-rated $12 Christmas t-shirt has shoppers excited

"I don't care what it's meant to say... add to cart!" one shopper laughed. What do you read?

Accidentally x-rated toys

It doesn't feel like Christmas until someone stumbles on a random, X-rated find at a bargain retailer while shopping for presents.

Last year, it was the Big W lights that had many shoppers' minds in the gutter and this year, it's a $12 t-shirt that you can pick up from Target.

While there are many festive t-shirt designs on offer at the retail store, there's one in particular that has many shoppers rather, erm, excited and it's all because of the unfortunate choice of font. Or maybe fortunate, if you're looking at it from a marketing point of view!

Merry Jizzmas everyone!

A shopper has taken to the Christmas Mums Australia Facebook group to share her hilarious find in store - the $12 tee with gold and silver writing that reads: "Merry Fizzmas".

Cute... fun... appropriately festive.

Except not everyone is reading it this way.

"Target quality control is a bit off this year 😆," the shopper captioned a shot of the t-shirt hanging on the rack.

She is, of course, referring to the word "fizzmas" which appears to say "jizzmas" thanks to the fancy font.

And yeah, this is #straya so we all know where things went from there!

"Is that jizzmass or fizzmas?!" one person pointed out.

"Hahaha I get the champagne reference for fizzmas... but my goodness," laughed another.  Another person pointed out: "I don't know if it would be better or worse if they'd put a champagne bottle popping below!"

And accident or great marketing?

The woman wasn't the only one who noticed the accidental X-rated fashion item while shopping, with another woman sharing: "I saw it the other day and thought it said Jizzmas until I re-read it a few times. My husband said it defs says Jizzmas!"

It's not the first time an item has had Target shoppers double-taking. In August, a massage gun that was marketed as "splash proof for easy cleaning" and "whisper quiet" had tongues wagging as it looked just like a sex toy sold by Love Honey.

An accidental dupe? Of course not, Target was quick to shut it down as people merely being cheeky.

But not everyone's convinced with that excuse. Some shoppers claim that our friends at Target know exactly what they're doing.

"Great marketing strategy," one shopper pointed out.

And another agreed: "Very poor choice in font design, could have easily been edited to look more like an F. As if no one saw that and said, hey guys - does that say Jizz?"

Shut up and take our money!

Poor font or not poor font, clever marketing or not clever marketing, the t-shirt has many wanting to flock into store to nab one before Christmas lunch rolls around.

One person shared in the Facebook thread that she wants to buy the fashion item BECAUSE of the unfortunate writing.

"I don’t care what it’s meant to say… it totally says Jizzmas. Add to cart…. ✅" she shared.

"Omg I love it! Bless my dirty mind," added another.

And another laughed: "Omg I need this.. read as Jizzmas I could wear to parties."

And this, my friends, is how we all end up wearing the same thing during the festive season.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!
