Australian dessert king Adriano Zumbo is coming to Adelaide to team up with croissant connoisseur, Alex Crawford for one weekend only.
Zumbo, a patissier and TV personality, who became famous for his masterful macarons and most recently starred on 10’s Dessert Masters, mentored Crawford in his early days and the pair have been friends for nearly 10 years. Queensland-based Zumbo has more than 310,000 followers on his Instagram profile, @thesweetassassin.
Sweet-toothed locals will be able to taste Zumbo’s macarons as well as croissant creations such as the first ever V4 Croissant Tart, inspired by Zumbo’s signature V8 cake.
Crawford’s The Sugar Man chocolate and croissant shop in Hutt St was ranked among the best in South Australia in this year’s delicious 100, said he couldn’t wait to get in the kitchen with his mate.
“We haven’t worked together before, but his knowledge on baking and pastries is monumental,” Crawford said.
“I just want to use this time learn from him, while doing what we love: making delicious sweets.”
It’s this Saturday and Sunday, Dec 2-3, with doors open 10am.
