Roxy Jacenko quashes divorce rumours and shares real reason for selling house

Plus, she reveals what her son, Hunter, wants to spend the whopping $9m profit on... and it's very relatable to parents.

Roxy Jacenko’s Vaucluse mansion

Roxy Jacenko has set the record straight amidst rumours she's getting a divorce from her husband, Oliver Curtis.

The entrepreneur and PV maven, 43,  prompted speculation after she announced that she recently sold her family's Vaucluse mansion for $16 million.

Jacenko's luxurious, five-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Sydney's eastern suburbs sold for $2 million over the asking price, after just 12 days on the market.

The home is complete with a full gym, hair salon, a children's playroom and a room exclusively for her $1 million Birkin collection.

She let her daughter, Pixie, 11, announce the news on her Instagram this week with a photo of the sold sign outside the home. "And that is a wrap!" she captioned the snap

But behind all the smiling faces and Jacenko saying she's "thrilled" with the sale, naturally, people are wondering if a divorce is imminent.

'I'm not stupid enough to divorce him and let him take 50%'

Jacenko has now set the record straight and told news.com.au exclusively, "We’re not separating or divorcing — what, him take 50 per cent? I’m not that stupid."

But despite laughing off the rumours, she did admit that she only sees her husband about once a month as he works between Tasmania and Singapore.

"We haven’t been living together in a full-time capacity for about four years," she said candidly.

She continued, "While Oli isn’t here to enjoy the wonderful result or the joy of open for inspections, all is well on that front, and it’s very much business as usual for us as a family."

Jacenko also assured she hasn't run out of money either and revealed she's just looking to downsize.

"An apartment will be easier - with two kids on my own, there’s no need to be in a house with a gym or a cinema.

"Hunter’s usually in the TV room playing Call of Duty when Pixie’s in bed watching TV with me, we don’t need this big house."

She also said that she thought now was the perfect time to list the property as so little is on the market currently.

"Turning $6.6m into perhaps $15m why not... and if I haven’t got a husband around I don’t want all the responsibility."

What the $9 million profit will go towards

The property ended up selling for $16 million, meaning they made a $9 million profit.  So what will that be spent on, you ask?

"The children and I called [Oli] last night to update him that we were planning to use the proceeds to buy ‘ROBUX’ – as decided by our nine-year-old son, Hunter," Jacenko told news.com.au.

Robux is a virtual currency used in the popular online gaming platform, Roblox, and while Hunter's idea is quite ambitious, it's definitely a relatable one for most parents!
