Man reveals his wife’s dying wish is to cheat on him

A man has confessed that his terminally ill wife has revealed her dying wish – and it involves her ex-boyfriend.

A husband has said that his terminally ill wife revealed her dying wish – and it involves sex without him.

In a now-deleted anonymous Reddit post, a heartbroken and frustrated man shared he was faced with a horrifying dilemma.

He posted it in the famous ‘Am I The Asshole?’ sub-thread, where users share their complicated issues and ask if they are being selfish.

He wrote that his wife, who he’d been with for a decade, was only expected to live another nine months.

Naturally, he was now in the process of doing his best to make her last wishes come true – but she’d “shocked” him with her final request.

“Recently, she sat me down and told me that one of the last things she wanted to do was have sex with a previous partner of hers. I, of course was shocked,” he wrote.

He explained that when he asked why she wanted to do that, she’d given him a “monologue” in response.

“Basically, she thinks that her most physically compatible and satisfying lover was him. She gave a whole monologue about how sex sometimes is just physical and how emotionally fulfilling sex is with me.”

He then shared that her confession left him feeling “p*ssed off” and “betrayed.”

“I feel like I’m put in a position where I have to say yes because she’s dying. I know what I want to say, but I don’t know if that’s right,” he wrote.

“I’m so hurt that sex with an ex was apparently so good that she needs to do it once before she dies. I just hate everything about this.”

The anonymous poster felt he was only left with two pretty unattractive choices: “Deny my dying wife a wish for my own ego, or let her go f**k another man who she feels was better.”

Plenty of people shared their thoughts on the conundrum – and pretty much everyone seemed to be on the husband’s side.

“Let her go do what she wants, and when she gets back you make sure you’re gone,” someone wrote.

“Just because someone is terminally ill does not mean that they can dump this onto their partner even though they internally know that is wrong. When they committed to their partner,” someone claimed.

“I wouldn't even show up to her funeral if that were my wife’s dying wish,” another wrote.
