A woman has revealed she has never kissed her husband-to-be even though they’ve been together for four years.

Kaytlin O’Neall took to TikTok to show the moment her partner Drew Brown proposed to her. The 21-year-old was clearly overjoyed. The pair had met in Year 7 at a private Christian school.

Mr Brown was holding a single red rose when she stepped out of a car. She knew this was the moment he was going to propose. Both burst into tears before she accepted the “magical” proposal.

However, her caption caught a lot of people’s attention. In it, she revealed the couple had been dating since their penultimate year of high school. During this time, they had never kissed.

Social media users had a huge response.

“May this kinda relationship NEVER find me,” one social media user commented.

Another said: “That’s a friend.”

“My husband and I didn’t kiss til our wedding way,” one shared.

One commented: “People don’t get the point is that you love each other so much you wait and then it’s even more special on your wedding day. It’s not meant for everyone.”

“I could never! But I hope it’s the best for you when you finally have your moment,” one commented.

Another argued: “I didn’t kiss my future husband ‘to get a ring’. I did it as a sign of affection.”

“Genuinely what is the point from refraining,” one said.

One said: “Imagine never having even kissed before marriage then getting married and finding out that you are completely sexually incompatible!”

Others simply didn’t understand the point of not kissing. The couple previously went viral in 2022 for saying they wouldn’t kiss until their wedding day. The Christians said they weren’t forced into this decision by purity culture. Ms O’Neall holds the belief a relationship is so much more than physical intimacy.

She said no matter who you are, who you are intimate with is important.

“The reason I’ve opened up on my page about this is because you deserve to be loved and cherished for everything you are, not just for what you can give someone,” she captioned a recent clip in response to the backlash.

“A relationship is a give-and-take, and I’m a firm believer that every person, no matter what their background, should be deeply loved and respected for everything that makes them who they are.

“This is in no way shaming anyone for what they have done in past relationships or current ones; it’s to serve as a reminder that your heart is precious, and so is your body, so be careful with who you entrust it to.”

She told People she spent a lot of time thinking about her physical boundaries before she met Mr Brown. She knew she wanted to save kissing for her future husband.

“When Drew and I were about to begin dating, we had a conversation about these boundaries, and we were both on the same page — we wanted to save our first kiss for marriage … We didn’t want any regrets from crossing physical lines prematurely,” she said.

The couple said it hadn’t been without its struggles. But, according to Ms O’Neall, it has been worth it.

“I feel less selfish in my relationship with her because I know that we’re being patient to uphold this boundary. I’m not just a guy who wants what he wants whenever he wants it,” Mr Brown told the publication.

Now, the pair are excited to finally tie the knot and have their first kiss. Ms O’Neall said she doesn’t believe the pair could ever have a bad first kiss.
