A former Miss Universe Australia winner has broken her silence on engagement rumours – after she and her ex-husband called it quits after just eight months.
Olivia Molly Rogers, who was the winner of the title in 2017, confirmed that “after four and a half years together, Justin [McKeone] and I have come to the difficult decision to separate as a couple” in an Instagram Story in October.
The news – just eight months after the couple’s lavish wedding on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula – came as a shock to Olivia’s thousands of followers.
But, in April, she debuted a new relationship after sharing a handful of images cuddled up to fellow model Morgan Waterhouse.
The pair recently enjoyed a Bali holiday together, posting snaps from the occasion.
But a recent Instagram post from the 31-year-old had her followers raising their eyebrows and questioning if she was engaged.
The Priceline ambassador took to her social media page to address the rumours.
“I get asked this all the time, no, I’m not engaged,” she revealed in the Instagram post.
“This ring was my grandma’s and was gifted to me by my mum.
“I wear it almost every day – always on my right hand. The camera on selfie mode flips it so it looks like my left.”
In an interview with Mamamia’s Fill My Cuppodcast in January, Olivia said to host Allira Potter that she hasn’t “been that good at choosing partners”.
“It’s funny, I feel like I’ve always been quite good at choosing friends,” she said.
“I just haven’t been that good at choosing partners. We’re working on that.”
Olivia said she’d “definitely” been putting herself out there more since her break-up from McKeone.
