American porn star Johnny Sins reveals advice he gives to men
One of the world’s most sought after porn stars has revealed the most common piece of advice he gives to other men after arriving in Australia.

“Embrace the bald” is the mantra of one of the world’s most sought after male porn stars.
Johnny Sins, whose real name is Steven Wolfe, is in Perth for Sexpo, which is a sex-positive convention that runs from April 5 to 7.
It’s the first time the adult exhibition has been in Western Australia for six years.
While men can face a lot of stigma about losing their hair or being bald, Sins has embraced every part of that – his Instagram handle even reads “most talented bald man”.
“I started shaving my head when I was 23 out of necessity not because I liked the look,” Sins told news.com.au.
“For a while I was self conscious about it but then I just sort of embraced it.”
Most common piece of advice he gives to men
He said he tells men who come to him for advice when they begin losing their hair the same thing, adding there are perks to being hairless.
“You shave your head and make that your look and make it your thing,” he said.
“Some of the most talented people in the world are bald – The Rock, Jeff Bezos, a lot of actors.
“I really embrace it now. It’s so much easier than having hair, styling your hair and going [to the] barber all the time. I actually prefer it now.”
Sins went to college in the United States and after his studies started working in construction management.
After a few years, he realised the 9 to 5 life wasn’t for him. He had a few friends in the industry and decided he’d take a crack at it.
He began to respond to Craigslist advertisements and, while most were fake, he found some substantial work and started working for free.
The rest, as they say, is history. Johnny Sins is now one of the most well-known male porn stars in the world.
‘Crazy’: Adult star’s most wild scene
Over his time, Sins has been part of some memorable scenes, but one that sticks out to him is filming in an airborne helicopter.
“It’s against regulations to take your seatbelt off, otherwise the pilot gets in trouble, so leaving our seatbelts on made things a little more difficult,” he said.
“But we managed to get it done and it was a crazy experience. I don’t know if you’d get to do that in your personal life unless you owned a helicopter.”
Sins also uses his voice when it comes to sexual health, saying he finds it important to speak out on social media during a time in America where he feels sexual freedom is regressing.
“Everybody wants to sort of hide it, sweep it under the rug, and it makes it difficult for people to talk about those kinds of things,” he said.
“You know, whether you’re having erection problems or just general sexual health problems, people are still embarrassed to talk about it.”
He added: “I’ve been through it before, especially being in the industry. If something’s happening you need to see a doctor right away.
“It’s one of the things a lot of people wait until it gets really bad or out of control before they go see a doctor. It really needs to be talked about more and not made a stigma about. People should be more free. I feel that’s important.”
He said the industry has changed a lot during his time, particularly with the introduction of subscription-based platforms during the pandemic.
Sins said it has allowed performers to become producers and directors but also allowed fans to get more of a glimpse into performers’ personal lives. He said it empowered performers and connected them more to fans.
Adult job negatively impacts his relationships
But, while Sins has been able to create a full life for himself filled with travel, fun experiences and pay for his lifestyle, his work has impacted his dating life.
“Dating is hard already for most of us and being in sex work and having sex with multiple people definitely makes things harder,” he said, revealing he is currently single.
“It’s really about finding that [person] basically willing to accept your lifestyle and you accepting their lifestyle. In the business, it’s fairly easy and common to find a partner because you’re both doing the same thing.
“You can still be jealous, which is fine, it’s really just communicating with the other person.”
He said at the end of the day, it was just a job and he’d rather come home and be with the person he was dating.
Sins, who is in Australia for Sexpo, added he always loves coming to Australia and being part of the event.
“Everybody is extremely nice here. And it’s interesting to me because they’re very grateful. Whenever I come here it sort of blows their mind that I’m here,” he said.
