Qantas launches huge sale, discounting 60 international routes for 8-days only

Gather your passports and dust off your suitcases: Qantas has announced a massive sale, discounting over 20,000 seats across 60 international routes - including some Aussie favourites - for 8-days.

Japan calling your name? USA winking at you from over the pacific? Canada looking like a fun place to plan a ski trip? New Zealand  sounding like somewhere you'd like to go on a hike? If any of the above sounds like you, we've got good news. 

Qantas has launched a "travel week sale," with thousands of seats on flights all around the world going cheap for the next eight days. 

International return economy sale fares departing Australia start from $539 to Christchurch, $1149 to Tokyo and $1099 to Honolulu. Further destinations include  Los Angeles, Vancouver, Queenstown and more.

The airline's first ever 'Travel Week' sale includes both cash fares and Classic Plus fares, allowing Frequent Flyers to use their Qantas Points to purchase sale fares which are also eligible for upgrades.  

If you're sitting on a stockpile of points, return Classic Plus fares include 53,500 points from Sydney to Tokyo (Haneda, Economy), 41,700 points  from Brisbane to Auckland (Premium Economy) and 467, 100 points from Melbourne to Dallas (Business).

Sale fares are available until 1159pm (AEDT) Wednesday December 4, 2024, or until they sell out. Tickets are  available for select travel dates and periods (some are blacked out) from January through to October 2025.

CEO Qantas International Cam Wallace said the sale reflected an increased interest in, among other places, Japan: “We’re seeing more and more Australians travelling to Japan, with Tokyo as one of our most in-demand destinations  on the Qantas international network."

“From the unique blend of traditional and contemporary cuisine to the allure of iconic landmarks like Mt. Fuji, we’re delighted to include Japan in our Travel Week sale, among other trending routes and travel spots such as Honolulu,  Los Angeles and Queenstown.”
