'Tragedy': Young girl fights for life after e-scooter crash
Police were seen taking photos of an e-scooter and a vehicle after the 12-year-old girl was rushed to hospital.

A young girl is fighting for her life in a Queensland hospital after she was hit by a car while riding an E-scooter.
The Sunshine Coast Daily reports a 12-year-old girl was riding her scooter along Main Road in Maroochydore when she was hit just after 8am on Wednesday morning.
More than a dozen police officers were quickly on site, and were spotted taking photos of a Kia K4 and the scooter after establishing a crime scene.

Police confirmed the school-aged girl was riding the scooter on the footpath when she was struck by the car which was pulling out of a driveway.

The Sunshine Coast Daily reports the 21-year-old Maroochydore woman who was driving the Kia is assisting police with their enquiries.
A police officer at the scene said the crash was a reminder of the importance of road safety, and declared that the incident was “a tragedy”.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the girl had been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition with life threatening injuries.
