New Adelaide rooftop bar and restaurant Two Suns to open on Currie St, above Lady Burra Brewhouse, on Thursday

A fancy cocktail or champagne won’t break the bank at this new multimillion-dollar rooftop bar, which boasts ‘spectacular’ views of the city.

A new $5 million rooftop bar and restaurant in the heart of the city will finally open its doors this week.

Two Suns – located on level 8 above Lady Burra Brewhouse on Currie St – boasts “spectacular, uninterrupted views” and promises to bring Miami-style resort vibes to the CBD this summer.

Owner-operator Steven Kidd said the venue, which has been in the works for seven years, is different to anything else in Adelaide.

“The views are just spectacular, we’re right in the middle of the city and there’s just so much to look at, in every direction,” said Mr Kidd, managing director at Kidd Retail Group.

“There’s just nothing like it... the ambience and atmosphere is incredible.”

From the team behind Lady Burra, Girl Next Door and BCKYRD, Two Suns will be the best value rooftop bar in Adelaide, according to Mr Kidd.

“I don’t think because it’s a rooftop bar we need to be expensive. We’re very aware of costs to the consumer, and I think that’s where we are a point of difference,” he said.

“I think if you compare our cocktail, beer and wine prices, we’ll be considerably cheaper than the competition.”

Open for dinner five nights a week, the menu will focus on tapas-style share plates. Seafood dishes such as fish tacos, prawn skewers, oysters and sashimi are among the highlights.

“It’s not too pretentious. It’s good food and good wine, with nice vibes,” Mr Kidd said.

The two-level venue has capacity for 250 people, and will feature live music and DJs. There’s also an indoor function space.

“When people come here and see what the offering is, you can’t compare it... this is in my opinion, the best rooftop bar in Adelaide,” said Mr Kidd.

Two Suns will open to the public on Thursday.
