Murray Bridge model Kane Parker’s homecoming after Milan Fashion Week

Murray Bridge supermodel-in-the-making Kane Parker, 16, is back home after walking for Prada in Milan – with his agent tipping what his future earning potential might be.

When it comes to future earnings for Murray Bridge teen model Kane Parker it may well be a case of “the sky is the limit”.

But for now the 16-year-old is just happy to be home with Sushi, whom he cheekily calls his cat.

On Thursday the Murray Bridge High School year 11 student touched down at Adelaide Airport after making his international runway debut – walking for Prada at Milan Fashion Week.

Accompanied by mum Lisa and dad Jason, Kane was greeted by family, including his sister Mia, 19.

“I can’t wait to go home and see my cat – her name is Sushi – and I reckon she has missed me a bit,” Kane told The Advertiser, after which Mia pointed out Sushi was, in fact, her cat.

Finesse Models Australia director Brigette Mitchell, who is Kane’s agent, said she was proud of his success.

“It’s early days and everything has to be worked around his age and education,” she said, adding: “Future plans for travel (for more overseas modelling work) are all happening now, but Kane is home to catch his breath.”

Ms Mitchell said Kane’s earning potential as a model – once he completed his schooling – could be unlimited.

“It can be anything from $2000 a day to the sky is the limit but most models don’t work every day,” Ms Mitchell said.

She said Kane would get seasonal work while he was still at school: “Until then, it will be bits and pieces, every now and then.”

Kane said walking for Prada was a “surreal” experience.

“Walking out in front of all those big fashion people, just being like a 16-year-old from the middle of Woop Woop, you know, it was a bit crazy but it was heaps of fun,” Kane said.

It was the only show Kane was booked for in Italy because his global launch was contracted exclusively to the high-end fashion house.

Prada was more than pleased with its pick because an image of Kane also featured on the mega brand’s social media.

An unknown before that big gig, Kane became the “new hot face”.

He went on to walk for Issey Miyake and KidSuper at Paris Fashion Week. Kane also did a photo-shoot, details of which will remain under wraps for now.

Finesse Models Australia, which has its headquarters in Adelaide, was inundated with queries “from all over the world” since he turned heads at the Prada show, Ms Mitchell said.

While Finesse Models Australia would remain Kane’s mother agency, he had also been signed with Crew Model Management in Italy and IMG in Sydney, Paris and London, she said.
