Name a more iconic winter duo than a cozy bonfire and gooey toasted marshmallows.

Both make the cold winter nights a little more enjoyable for many of us... except if you don't have a firepit at home and there's no way of toasting those said marshmallows!

Well, one clever mum has found a hack around that and it is so simple for any of us to enjoy!

Mum's clever s'mores hack

Casey Major-Bunce (aka @majormumhacks) shared her ultimate hack for making delicious s'mores at home on Instagram when you don't have a fire pit.

All you need is a terracotta pot, foil, a metal or foil tray, and some charcoal beads.

The clever mum creates her own mini firepit using the garden pot, which lights up beautifully before it's ready for toasting and adding on to your digestive, chocolate biscuits.

Pop pieces of charcoal at the bottom, then pop in your firelighter. Pop some more charcoal on the top, then light your fire lighter and wait until the charcoal goes grey," she explains in the caption.

"You can then start using it. It takes around five minutes to make and around 30 minutes till the charcoals are grey.

"Enjoy your s’mores. This is also great for camping," she adds.

Parents loved the little hack - which would work well for not only those without a fire pit but families who live in an apartment.

"Good idea!" one person commented.

"This is so good, my girls would love it," another said.

Meanwhile, others claimed they have never tried s'mores and were enticed after seeing the clip.

"I've always wanted to try s'mores! Such an easy way to do it."

As with any fire - big or small - children must be supervised.
