If it’s good enough for Adelaide, it’s good enough for the Kardashians …

An Adelaide fashion brand has gone global, gracing the shoulders of Kardashian-family supermodel Kendall Jenner in a campaign shared to her more than 200 million Instagram followers.

Jenners’ tequila brand, 818, posted birthday well-wishes for the 27-year-old on Friday – featuring a knit jumper by The Wolf Gang in a “surreal moment” for the brand.

It’s not entirely coincidental – local agency Frame Creative, whose co-director Sam Pearce is the partner of The Wolf Gang’s creative director Vanessa Pearce, was involved in a collaboration with 818 Tequila in LA.

Mrs Pearce said Jenner was gifted a “care package” of items from The Wolf Gang’s collection, including the now-famous Palermo Knit Jumper.

But it was Jenner’s personal taste that landed the jumper in the photo shoot.

“818’s shoot director told Kendall to bring something cosy to wear which they would then style, and she organically picked our jumper,” Mrs Pearce said.

“It’s absolutely surreal, for her to love the piece is so special.”

The jumper is one of the brand’s feature winter knitwear pieces launched this year, which Mrs Pearce describes as “pieces to love for a lifetime”.

The Adelaide-based independent label launched just six years ago and quickly became known for its bags, which now sell in more than 70 stores across Australia and New Zealand.

It soon expanded into ready-to-wear clothing and will launch its new Spring-Summer range in the next fortnight, featuring a capsule of pieces handmade in Bali and its first jewellery collection.

The Wolf Gang has also signed a deal to enter the US market with retail giant Anthropologie.

Mrs Pearce said there were a number of “exciting things” on the way for the local brand but, for now, they’ll be “pinching themselves” over their Kardashian moment.
