Let's be real, dry cleaning sucks.

Yes, it does gets the job done but it's super expenny and you have to take TWO whole trips to complete the mission.

"My grandmother taught me the trick"

The hack comes courtesy of a savvy Aussie mum who shared the tip on Facebook.

She says her 'fail proof' method helps straighten out creases in a range of items that you'd typically need to dry clean.

"My grandmother taught us all the tricks when we were little," she recalled in the post.

"This is how I clean suits," she wrote, before sharing a photo of a suit hanging on the line, completely soaked.

She says that she pops the delicate items on a hanger and then "hoses" them down, before spraying them with diluted laundry liquid.

After that, she hoses down the items one last time and then leaves them to dry.

She claims the whole process takes around five minutes and has meant she's "never been to a dry cleaner" in her life.

"My husband laughs at me still, but I don't care. It hasn't failed me once," she concluded.

The mum hit back at 'Karens' who claimed it doesn't work

The group went wild for the hack, with many people hailing the mum as a genius.

And it's not just suits, apparently - this trick works on all kinds of clothes, from dresses to blazers and even on things like rugs and curtains.

"Wow, clever. My neighbour actually does the same thing with her rug. It's amazing," wrote one person.

Another chimed in, saying, "I use the same method. It saves me a ton of time ironing, especially for curtains and larger items like mats."

"This is seriously so smart and cost-effective. Definitely going to give this a go, thank you!" said someone else.

But not everyone was convinced. Some people took to the comments to speculate whether or not the hack really worked.

But the mum proved them wrong by sharing an 'after' photo of the suit, and we have to admit - it does look pretty schmick!

"Oh, to the Karens, it is not trashed mate," the mum responded, tongue-in-cheek before telling them to "calm down."
