‘I’m obsessed’: ALDI dupe of $72 cult Mecca product hits shelves

It’s only available once a year, so run, don’t walk to snag yourself this summer essential.

Shoppers froth over new $10 Aldi ‘dupe’

OK folks. Shine up your shopping trolley tokens, get your ALDI bags ready because the best Special Buys sale of the year is coming.

On October 25 ALDI will launch their Summer Loving Special Buys, which includes Lacura creams, body washes, haircare and best of all, the cult Summer Touch Booty Balm for the low, low price of $9.99.

Popular in its own right for its claim to smooth cellulite, the Booty Balm is also a $10 dupe for cult Mecca product, Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, a potion that will set you back $72.

Like the Mecca version, Lacura’s Booty Balm promises to tighten and smooth skin and lessen the appearance of cellulite using ingredients like guarana extract and coconut oil.

Failing that, by all accounts it has a really lovely tropical scent.

Beauty lovers took to TikTok at the time to praise the products.

“I found dupes for Sol de Janeiro at ALDI,” @samantalzundu said in a video.

“This body shimmer from them, I don’t think you can even buy it anymore, but it’s $8.99 [at ALDI].

“Then we’ve got the Bum Bum cream and called it Booty Cream for $9.99.

“I’ll be getting that and the body shimmer.”
