By introducing the nel. produce box, they’re keeping our chefs employed as they will be making special nel. goodies like pasta, stocks, breads, and brownies.

Boxes are designed for two people; there’s the pantry-essential box, which starts at $45, and for the full boxes, there’s a veggie version for $80 and includes fresh, seasonal vegetables direct from NSW farmers or $130 for a selection of vegetables, teamed with restaurant quality meats or seafood like chicken, beef, pork, salmon, snapper and ling.

The ingredients are seasonal, market-fresh and delivered in the Sydney metro area by Nelly himself.

THE FORK

TheFork, up until now, has been an app that helps customers with restaurant bookings.

As of this past week, though, they have added a new search function on both the app and website platforms to help people find restaurants that offer pick-up or delivery and place those orders swiftly by calling the restaurant directly off the listing – whether it be a bucket of wings from Belles Hot Chicken, egg hoppers from INDU or pasta from one of Sydney’s established and iconic Italian restaurants, Lucio’s in Paddington.

TheFork is working to help restaurants stay open, like Lucio's, which offers its tagliolini alla granseola (green pasta with blue swimmer crab). Picture: Jenifer Jagielski

And it’s all done without taking any commission from the restaurants.

Here’s how to do it: Open the TheFork and choose a restaurant from the home delivery or pick-up selection on the app & website; click the call button on the restaurant tab to find the contact number; order the food from the restaurant, then either pick up or wait for your delivery.

The pair were in the process of developing The Borough Box, an evolving monthly collection of sustainable, organic and biodynamic wines from Australia and around the world, with a focus on small-batch viticulturists, but as Tom says:

“The plan was to launch in a few months, but instead, we did what we could to fast track things. James and I are pulling out all the stops here. Our boxes feature some of the rarest, most exciting natural wines around.”

The monthly subscription box will cost $180 and is delivered straight to your door.
