West Beach’s Beachside restaurant announces shock closure
Less than a month after launching a new menu – and only a year after it was taken over by new management – a beachside wine bar and restaurant has closed its doors.

Less than a month after launching their new menu – and only a year after it was taken over by new management – a West Beach wine bar and restaurant has closed its doors.
In a post on Facebook, Beachside announced Monday was the venue’s last day of trade.
The restaurant had only launched its spring/summer menu in September.
Taking to social media at the time, they counted down to the menu’s launch posting, “hope to see you soon”.
But less than a month later, Jane and Sam were signing off.
“Unfortunately we’ve had to shut our doors,” they wrote.
“Thanks for the support and best wishes.”
Also on Monday, popular cafe Grange cafe The Cooks Pantry announced their “difficult decision” to permanently close.
“The last few years have been challenging but we are proud of everything we’ve accomplished,” they wrote on social media.
They will officially close this Saturday.
It’s been a brutal few months for SA businesses, with several closing their doors, selling up or pleading for support as the cost of living crisis continues to obliterate the hospitality industry.
From long-running nightclubs, acclaimed restaurants and beloved suburban cafes, Adelaide has taken a battering with scores of businesses closing their doors.
