The hospitality team behind Prospect Rd favourites Anchovy Bandit and Bottega Bandito has revealed plans to open a suburban wine bar in Adelaide’s inner west.
The venue, to be located on the ground floor of a new Bowden housing development, will feature “well-executed small bites” alongside a quality wine list.
Oliver Brown, managing director of The Big Easy Group, said the casual eatery and bar was a new style of offering from the team, better known for popular restaurants such as House of George and La Louisiane in the CBD.
“This will be more casual in service and execution... with a classy, elevated food menu that is restaurant quality but wine will be the focus,” he said.
“It’ll be something for the locals.
“We really want to take the city to the suburbs and lift South Australian hospitality as a whole.”
Similar to Sydney’s Paddington hotspot, 10 William St, and Adelaide’s Lune and Alt Wine Bar, Mr Brown said the venue was still in the development stage but would have room for 60 guests and feature a large alfresco area.
“It’ll be a perfect spot to sit outside and have a drink in the sunshine,” he said.
It’s expected the wine bar, in the Muse Bowden building by Otello Projects, will be ready in 12-18 months’ time.
The Big Easy Group is also behind Adelaide venues such as Bowden Brewing, NOLA, Bandit Pizza and Wine and The Stag.
