The hospitality team behind Prospect Rd favourites Anchovy Bandit and Bottega Bandito has revealed their Adelaide CBD restaurant will close its doors for the final time after six years.
Late-night taverna, House of George will officially shut on Monday June 9.
In an email sent to customers, owners the Big Easy Group thanked “everyone who’s been part of the ride”.
“George was all about the good times,” hospitality operator Jack Booker said.
“It was a space and menu that was designed for friends and family to come together over a meal.
“We took our food seriously but not ourselves. We’ve made memories here. Now it’s time to make a few more before we say goodbye.”
House of George will now rotate their “greatest hits” menu items, free ouzo shots all weekend on May 24 and 25 with “a few extra surprises along the way”.
The closure comes after the shut down of Hindley Street patisserie Love, Stephy on May 10 and restaurant Stem on March 2 – both were also trading for six years.
