He’s a triple threat wheat, barley and lentil grower and this South Australian farmer is looking for love on the next season of Farmer Wants a Wife.
Kimba’s Farmer Thomas has been revealed in the line-up of eight bachelors ahead of the 2025 season but two will be cut before filming begins.
He describes himself as “a modern-day, hardworking and driven farmer from the Eyre Peninsula”.
“I’m passionate about farming, tech savvy and have a clear vision for the future,”
“You’ll find me to be an open and honest person who doesn’t believe in misleading others. “When I’m not farming, you’ll find me at the beach diving for abalone or surfing.”
The 6ft4, local firefighter has retired from footy after a few injuries but loves pop music and at 35 is the oldest among the 2025 crop of farmers.
“I love upbeat music; a couple of my favourite songs are The Chainsmokers ‘Closer’ and Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’.
“This one is my pick me up song. Even my friends’ kids say ‘that’s Frothie’s song on the radio!’.”
In his bio, Farmer Thomas said he hoped to get married in the “next couple of years” and was ready for children.
“Three would be ideal, but obviously negotiable with my wife,” he said.
“When I’m committed to a relationship, I’m in it for the long haul and I give 110 per cent of my love. I’m supportive of my partner’s dreams and achievements, I’m also a romantic.
“I want a partner who is my best friend, someone who you can share the highs and lows with, someone who can cheer you up on the bad days and celebrate the good days.”
When asked where he wants to be in five years, he said “how good would it be to have The Farmer Wants a Wife success story. Married to my best friend with a couple of mini farm hands, that would be the ultimate dream.”
If he does find the one, he wouldn’t be SA’s first Farmer Wants a Wife success story with Mount Gambier’s Rob Hodges falling head over heels for Jo Fincham on season two.
The couple were married in 2010, went on to have three kids and are still going strong after making the move to Queensland.
With the popular reality television show now recruiting “single ladies ready for love”, Farmer Thomas’s pitch is “let’s take a chance together at finding love”.
“The farm, the community and the location are picturesque, and you’ll love being out here,” he said.
“Let’s share the dream of a partnership, not only in love, but life, family and the farm. This could be the best decision of your life so apply now for me, Farmer Thomas.”
