The sad reason why fans are sure Farmer Joe and Sarah have already split

“By the reunion, they were already having fighting an having major issues,” an insider said.

The Farmer Wants a Wife season finale wrapped up tonight, with a whole episode dedicated to Farmer Joe and his final two choices, Sarah and Keely.  

It was meant to be the most romantic night in reality TV, but rumours plus a bizarre scene during the episode has us wondering, is Joe already single again?

“I’m going to break someone’s heart and making the wrong decision weighs on me,” he said early in the finale when he was still weighing up who would be not only the best match for him, but also for the farm.

In the end, he chose Sarah.

She’d grown up on a farm, she knew and loved the lifestyle.

They had chemistry, it seemed to be the best match.

“I don’t have all the answers for us, but I do see myself falling for you,” he said.

Not the most passionate statement of undying love, but we can respect the cautious stance.

Except Joe’s caution has us wondering, are they still together?

Farmer Joe picks Sarah

Farmer Joe's choice surprised no one (because it had apparently been leaked online days before the finale aired).

Before Tuesday’s episode though, fans were speculating and rumour-spreading.

“They are still together,” one person said.

“Not by the sounds of things, apparently it didn’t go too well after the show,” replied another.

Before the finale ended, online speculation was rife.

“Keely won't hack it on the farm. It isn't always sunshine and roses and she is not up for it,” one person said. “Takes a strong woman to be a farmer's wife and I think Keely will get jack of it and that will be her downfall. Sarah on the other hand is from the land and knows what it takes!!”

“I wonder did he tell them in a bath,” was one person’s hilarious comment.

“Both girls need to run,” a third person wrote.

Have Farmer Joe and Sarah split?

Because Sarah won, we found it pretty strange that she disappeared from the final scenes of the episode, when Joe was one of the groomsmen for season 11’s Farmer Andrew and Jess’s wedding.

The show explained Sarah had a “prior commitment”. She and Joe had an awkward FaceTime where he said he wished she could have come and then she complimented his haircut and told him to wish the happy couple the best.

What kind of prior commitment could keep her from being a plus one at her new partner’s friends’ wedding? Hadn’t they just been filming an entire television show for months? Who makes unbreakable plans on the heels of an experience like that?And why hadn't she seen his haircut yet?

We take all that as a sign that Joe and Sarah split up sometime between filming and the finale airing, but they had to keep up appearances for the sake of the show.

That and the fact that an “insider” told So Dramatic! it hadn’t worked out.

“By the reunion, they were already fighting and having major issues,” the insider said. “The biggest one was that they hadn’t seen each other in the four weeks since filming wrapped.”

That must have been when Sarah was absent from the wedding.

“I think they’re definitely over by now as Joe has been sliding in the DMs of some of the women from the other farms on the show.”
