Adelaide Hills winery Bird in Hand has unveiled its luxury accommodation suites, available only for guests who are dining at its adjoining restaurant.
The Woodside estate’s new ‘O’ Quarters residence includes three spacious bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms, and shared living and dining areas.
The unique offering – priced at $895 per night for the king-sized Sparkling Suite and $450 a night for the smaller Garden Suites – is exclusive for guests of the winery’s acclaimed on-site LVN Restaurant, led by executive chef Jacob Davey.
Bird in Hand co-founder Susie Nugent said the rooms, named after their son, Oscar, were previously only made available to friends of the brand.
“We are excited to offer guests of LVN Restaurant the opportunity to discover ‘O’ Quarters and immerse themselves in the charm of our Woodside estate,” she said.
“We’ve fitted out the residence with many of our favourite things, from artworks and books to the little comforts we most enjoy when staying somewhere away from home.”
The shared living and dining areas include a dining table and sofas, an open fire in the cooler months, a kitchen, a television and sound system, a library and a laundry.
Following lunch at LVN Restaurant, which is a $195 set menu per person, guests have the option to pre-order a chef-prepared light dinner for $65 per person, which will be delivered to their accommodation in the evening.
Bird in Hand reopened its cellar door early last year following a multimillion-dollar redevelopment, launching their fine dining venue in January.
The restaurant features an 8-10 course tasting menu, plus snacks, showcasing local produce from the onsite kitchen garden, the surrounding Hills region and Seymour, Tasmania.
Prospective guests will enjoy a sneak peek of the new accommodation suites at a special collaborative lunch at LVN Restaurant on August 25.
Davey will team up with Jason Saxby, from Byron Bay’s Raes Dining Room for an 8-course, 14-plate menu, which will focus on local produce from each restaurant’s surroundings alongside Bird in Hand wine varietals.
Bookings for the residence are now open for Friday and Saturday nights, with a lunch reservation at LVN Restaurant required on the date of check-in to be eligible to book a suite.
