Due to these current demands placed on the South Australian Police Force, the South Australian Government has sought assistance from the Australian Defence Force.    In support of the South Australian Police, up to 100 Australian Defence Force personnel will be deployed to the South Australian border this weekend, helping to man border crossings and control entry points as part of Operation COVID-19 Assist.

Boots on the ground as SA warned of tough restrictions

Australian Defence Force personnel are helping SA police officers on the border with Victoria, as cases of coronavirus continue to rise in that state. It comes as SA’s Police Commissioner warns the public to get used to the idea of a return to tough measures to stop the spread.

Virus testing for returning South Australians

All South Australians returning from Victoria are being told to be tested for COVID-19 within 24 hours of crossing the border. And Premier Steven Marshall says anyone who has been in Victoria in recent weeks should get tested too. Take our poll.
