Woman charged over alleged hit-run death

A woman will face court today charged after a 40-year-old woman was killed in an alleged hit and run early on Tuesday morning.

At about 12.30 am on Tuesday 14 January police were called to a series of alarm activations on business premises on Henley Beach Road at Torrensville. When police arrived they discovered several businesses had been broken into and located a suspect at the scene. The 32-year-old man had suffered a leg injury as a result of the break ins. Enquiries with this man led police to a nearby Cowandilla home, at 10 Harley Street, where they located the body of a 60-year-old man. Police believe the victim to be a resident of the address, and both men are known to each other. Police are currently managing the scene.
