Who’s in the running to fill-in for radio host Stacey Lee at FIVEAA later in 2025
FIVEAA afternoons presenter Stacey Lee will be going on maternity leave in the second half of 2025. Who will be keeping her seat warm while she’s away? We look at the top contenders.

Experienced journalist Stacey Lee has revealed she and her husband Ben Millar are expecting their first child later in 2025 – meaning there will be a change in faces at FIVEAA.
The popular radio presenter is due at the end of June and will be off the airwaves until the start of next year.
So who will temporarily fill Lee’s hot seat at FIVEAA? A station spokesman says network bosses are still “working through the options”, which could include an internal or external appointment.
While the search is on, here’s our list of potential voices who could be in the mix for the big role.
REBECCA MORSE
Since she was axed by SAFM in October, the popular media identity has announced plans to launch a new podcast, In The Genes, with daughter, Gracie Wakelin.
While the first episode has just dropped, could she make a temporary return to the radio airwaves with FIVEAA?
She’d be a good fit, given her profile and background in news with both Channel 10 and ABC.
CALEB BOND
He’s young but eager for this kind of role from what we hear. And that’s not surprising, because when he was barely in his teens Caleb used to phone through to FIVEAA to chat to Bob Francis on his late night show.
Now in his mid 20s, Caleb – who has made a name for himself as a Tiser columnist – isn’t backward in coming forward when it comes to airing his opinions … and we now how talkback listeners either love or love to hate that!
ALI CLARKE
Late last year Ali farewelled the Mix 102.3 audience following her battle with breast cancer. The radio veteran chose to leave because she could no longer “give 100 per cent” to her role in what is a demanding breakfast timeslot.
However, she is also a fierce advocate of local radio – so maybe a gig in the afternoons would work for her.
MARK SODERSTROM
The Adelaide media favourite quit his SAFM breakfast show suddenly in October to tackle what he described as the “biggest challenge of his life”.
It’s understood the Seven sports presenter stepped away from morning radio to spend more time with his children but could he be lured back in the more family-friendly arvo timeslot?
TIFFANY WARNE
Warne is no stranger to radio, having previously been co-host of Nova’s Saturday breakfast show with Jodie Oddy and Max Burford.
The bubbly Ten weather presenter would relish the opportunity to fill in for her good friend Lee and add some extra sunshine to FIVEAA’s afternoons shift.
JADE ROBRAN
FIVEAA Afternoons was her thing before she hung up her headphones in late 2023 only to return as a roving reporter for the breakfast show (which she co-hosted).
Who knows, this mat leave fill-in gig could be perfect for her – and she may even be able to juggle it with her TV role as the “sometimes” SA correspondent for Seven’s Sunrise.
KELLY GOLDING
One of local media’s quiet achievers, Kelly has been on the scene for many years and is well respected in the industry. The host of Adelaide’s More Music Breakfast show for digital station SmoothFM – who also has a gig on the small screen on Seven’s Discover – would make a great addition to FIVEAA’s on-air team but could she be persuaded to make the switch to talkback?
BELINDA HEGGEN
A former TV journo, whose media career kicked off at The Advertiser, Belinda is busy running her own business, FLUENT Media. But, having previously hosted the afternoon time slot at FIVEAA, she might be ready to make her radio comeback. Stay tuned.
And then there’s …
RICHARD PASCOE
No stranger to FIVEAA listeners, Richard can be heard on-air most weekends. In demand as a fill-in presenter for weekday shifts over the Christmas and New Year period, he could easily take over Stacey’s timeslot while she’s on mat leave.
SHANE LOWE
A former Nova 919 breakfast host, before he was part of the Mix 102.3 brekky team (until he wasn’t) Shane could also be looking to make a radio comeback.
