Timezone reveals opening date for massive upgrade to Tea Tree Plaza venue

Timezone and Zone Bowling has announced the hotly anticipated reopening date for their “state-of-the-art” upgraded Tea Tree Plaza venue – and it will be six times the size of the existing site.
The 2782 sqm venue will open its doors to entertainment lovers this Saturday at 10am, boasting 12 bowling lanes, a 24-vest laser tag arena, more than 110 arcade games and seven bumper cars.
At the Saturday opening, the first 200 guests to walk through the door will receive a free plushie upon entry.
In a state-first for Timezone, the redevelopment includes a bar for adults.
General manager of Timezone and Zone Bowling Australia Kane Fong said he was “turning up the entertainment dial to 11”.
“The overwhelming success of the original Timezone Tea Tree Plaza venue has made it clear that the community of Adelaide demands fun, accessible experiences,” Mr Fong said.
“This new dual-branded Timezone and Zone Bowling is perfectly positioned to become the go-to entertainment spot for families and friends seeking thrills in Adelaide, and we can’t wait to welcome them to this impressive new space.”
Level one of Westfield Tea Tree Plaza will also be home to new JB Hi-Fi and MECCA stores after posters were spotted around the shopping centre earlier this year advertising the two businesses.
A Timezone spokesperson said the new design would be the “perfect place” to host birthday parties, team events or any kind of celebration.
“Tenpin bowling enthusiasts are in luck, with 12 bowling lanes to choose from to show off their skills,” they said. “For anyone seeking some action, the new venue will also be the home of a 24-vest Laser Tag Arena, setting adrenaline levels to ‘stun’.
“When guests have bowled (or tagged!) up an appetite, they can head on over to the on-site cafe – featuring old school favourites such as burgers, nachos, fries, hot dogs, doughnuts and more. It’s also the perfect spot to take a breather amid all the non-stop fun.
“Before heading home, guests can browse the famous Winners Vault, which is packed to the rafters with amazing high-quality branded and unique prizes to reward fearless players of all ages.”
