The Block’s Bec and George Douros announce the birth of their first child

THE pair, who starred in 2012’s The Block: Sky High, didn’t have an easy road to parenthood.

THE Block’s Bec and George Douros have welcomed their first child, a baby boy.

The pair shared the news on their Facebook page yesterday, writing: “We are excited to announce the arrival of our beautiful baby boy Archie Nicolas Douros. Born 30/10/2015. We are all well and completely in love and we will be taking some time to bond with our son but thank you all for your well wishes and support”

The pair have sold the rights to the first picture of their son to Woman’s Day with the first photos to appear in the mag in the coming weeks.

The pair, who starred in 2012’s The Block: Sky High, didn’t have an easy road to parenthood.

“We tried for a while to fall pregnant, but when I did in mid-2012, which was just before we went on The Block Sky High, I had a miscarriage at seven weeks. It was devastating,” 29-year-old Bec told Woman’s Day in April.

Adding, “I’m a big believer in the universe working in mysterious ways and this is just perfect timing for us. We finished our time on The Block Triple Threat earlier this year and then moved into this house, and that’s when I found out I was pregnant.”
