A bunch of Aussie celebs were spotted sneaking out of Australia at Sydney Airport on Sunday, all but confirming their involvement in the next season of The Amazing Race Australia.
Ten’s race-around-the-world reality series is about to start filming, with two radio stars – host Beau Ryan and contestant Brendan Fevola – announcing in recent days that they’d be taking leave from their radio gigs to take part.
Now, these exclusive photos from Sydney Airport reveal a few of the other celebs set to take part.
They include Dessert Masters judge Melissa Leong:
Celeb couple, Australian Idol contestant turned musical theatre star Rob Mills and his fiancee, The Project panellist Georgie Tunny:
Another celeb couple, Aussie fitness queen Tiffiny Hall and her husband, comedian and actor Ed Kavalee:
Kiwi Below Deck reality star (and I’m A Celeb contestant) Aesha Scott, who’ll be competing with her partner Scott Dobson:
And Aussie reality TV royalty! That’s former Big Brother host Gretel Killeen, keeping a low profile under the pink cap:
News.com.au revealed on Friday that Beau Ryan, who hosts Triple M’s breakfast show in Sydney alongside ex-NRL player Aaron Woods, is about to go on leave for several weeks to resume his hosting duties on the show, which is heading into its sixth season since Ten resurrected the franchise in 2019.
It comes amid a bumpy start for the new show, which lost fellow host Natarsha Belling just weeks in earlier this month.
Speaking exclusively to news.com.au, Ryan batted away any suggestion it would be frustrating to take leave from his new radio show so soon after its launch.
“I’m not sure if ‘frustrating’ is the word because I love The Amazing Race so much and I get really excited about it, but it comes at a time where I feel so comfortable with my radio role,” he said.
“It’s bittersweet because I’m going to miss the guys at Triple M who I’ve been seeing for 30 hours a week … it’s going to be tricky.”
The next season of The Amazing Race Australia will air on Ten later this year.
