A new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated new series The Penguin has been released with a Hollywood heart-throb in the titular role.

A new teaser trailer of the highly anticipated new series The Penguin has been released – and Hollywood heart-throb Colin Farrell is outstanding in the titular role.

The Hollywood star first played Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, in the 2022 Matt Reeves blockbuster The Batman,but fans will get an in-depth look at the character in the small screen HBO Max spin-off before the film returns to cinemas in October 2026.

The Penguin is coming soon to BINGE in September.

In the teaser trailer for the eight-part mini-series, which airs locally on BINGE, the iconic villain seizes control of Gotham City after the death of the town’s crime lord, Carmine Falcone.

“Carmine Falcone is dead, and I’m here now. I’ll be calling the shots,” the Penguin says in the trailer while visiting Salvatore “The Boss” Maroni (Clancy Brown) in prison.

“The Falcones are still licking their wounds. They’re distracted. Their business will be ripe for the taking.”

But as he prepares to take the top spot in the criminal underworld food chain, Falcone’s children have other plans.

“My father’s been dead a week – you wanna take what’s mine?” Al Falcone (played by Michael Zegen) asks the Penguin in terrifying scenes.

His sister Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) also plans to take on the Penguin.

“I’m the daughter of the Falcone don. But he’s dead. And the family thinks I’m broken – I’m not broken.,” she could be heard saying in the trailer.

“I refuse to let these old men push me aside again. So I’m gonna take from them now. And I’m gonna force them to their knees.”

Milioti tries to seduce Penguin in the series.

Oscar nominee Farrell has previously expressed his excitement at reprising the character he played in The Batman opposite Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz.

“The world that Matt Reeves created for The Batman is one that warrants a deeper gaze through the eyes of Oswald Cobblepot,” he said in a statement released earlier this year.

“I couldn’t be more excited about continuing this exploration of Oz as he rises through the darkened ranks to become The Penguin.”

The Batman premieres in September on BINGE
