Kane Parker and Stevie Hearl’s modelling careers may be taking them to different countries but their worlds are set to collide on the same runway.
Hailing from Murray Bridge, Parker, who turned 17 in January, has been on the global circuit since making his international debut walking for Prada in Milan last year.
A proud First Nations woman, 24-year-old Hearl was crowned Miss Tourism Australia in 2024 – a title which took her to Malaysia for the world finals.
Both are signed with Adelaide’s Finesse Models Australia and will be appearing in FROCK on Saturday, March 29.
The runway show at Festival Plaza is being co-produced by their agent Brigette Mitchell and Filip “With an F” Odzak.
It will showcase fashion from East End traders, such as Mr Choon and Miss Gladys Sym Choon, whose resident style guru David Hank dressed Parker and Hearl for an exclusive photo shoot with The Advertiser.
Looking forward to attending Murray Bridge High’s formal this weekend, down-to-earth Parker, whose schoolmates call him “Prada Boy”, is always surprised when people recognise him when he is home from overseas.
“I walked past KFC and this lady pulled out her car in front of me, dropped the window down and said ‘I’m so proud of you’,” he laughed.
Parker’s fans also include Hearl, who was “stalking” his Instagram profile in the lead up to meeting him.
“I was like, ‘This kid is crazy, all of the work he’s done, all the places he’s gone’,” she said.
Tickets to Frock are available from TryBooking with part proceeds from sales going to MND South Australia.
