Taylor Swift makes first public appearance since announcing engagement to Travis Kelce
Taylor Swift has made her first public appearance since announcing her engagement to Travis Kelce, with the couple spotted at a college football game.
Taylor Swift has been spotted for the first time since announcing her engagement to Travis Kelce.
The US megastar, 35, made an unexpected appearance at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City Thursday night to watch Kelce’s alma mater, the University of Cincinnati, play the University of Nebraska in college football.
Cincinnati’s Bearcats shared a video of Swift’s arrival on its official X page, with the singer seen smiling as she made her way through the underground tunnel alongside Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.

Clearly visible during the clip was Swift’s huge diamond ring, which jewellers have estimated to be worth more than $US1 million ($AU1.54 million).
The 14-time Grammy winner went for a preppy ensemble for the game, teaming a white cable knit vest with a denim miniskirt and knee-high boots.
Swift was pictured alongside her soon-to-be husband in a corporate suite at the match, where the happy couple were joined by a group of friends.
It marks their first outing since Swift and Kelce announced their engagement to mass fanfare on Instagram Wednesday.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they wrote in a playful joint post alongside a carousel of images from when Kelce got down on bended knee in a flower garden.
Kelce’s father Ed Kelce later told media the proposal took place around two weeks ago at the NFL star’s Kansas City home.
This would’ve meant the big moment happened around the time Swift made a headline-making appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast, which the athlete co-hosts with his big brother, Jason Kelce.
On the podcast episode, which clocked up a staggering 10 million views within 16 hours of its release, the smitten pair shared intimate details about their love story, including how Kelce made it very public that he wanted to date her back in July 2023.
“Travis decided to use [this podcast] as his personal dating app two years ago,” Swift said of Kelce, who went to one of her Eras Tour shows at Arrowhead Stadium with the hope of meeting her and giving her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.
But when that didn’t happen, he made it known on his podcast that he was “butthurt” over the missed opportunity.
“He threw a tantrum,” Swift said.
“It’s so funny. It was such a wild, romantic gesture to be like, ‘I want to date you!’
“We live in a day and age - I’m not an online person at all, I’m genuinely terrified to open my DMs - so this felt more like I was in an ‘80s John Hughes movie and he was standing outside my window with a boombox.
“[I thought] If this guy isn’t crazy, which is a big if, this is sort of what I’ve been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.
“It was wild. It worked. I’m glad it worked.”
Kelce added, “I’m the luckiest man in the world.”
Meanwhile, Swift is gearing up to release her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3.
