A day after a buff Chris Hemsworth was snapped on set of Marvel film Thor: Love and Thunder and the Centennial Park set is being dismantled.
Photographs taken on Wednesday showed production staff pulling down the sci-fi fantasy landscape where just yesterday Hemsworth and fellow Hollywood star Chris Pratt shot scenes for the big budget movie.
Crew spent more than a week transforming the central city parklands into Odin’s realm for just a couple of days of shooting.
Filming officially got under way last week with the production based at Sydney’s Fox Studios for the coming months.
Thor: Love and Thunder is being directed by New Zealander Taika Waititi, who worked with Hemsworth on the previous film in the franchise, Thor: Ragnarok.
Shooting the production in Australia is a huge deal for the local industry as Hollywood remains all but shut down due to the global pandemic.
A raft of big names have set up home in Sydney for the duration of the shoot, among them Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Pom Klementieff and Jaimie Alexander.
Hemsworth’s close friend, Matt Damon, flew in to Australia last month to undergo the mandatory coronavirus quarantine as he joins the franchise with this film.
Production is expected to inject $178 million in to the local economy while creating more than 2500 jobs.
