A woman in Sellicks Beach has had quite the slithery surprise after a scaly intruder hid amongst her TV cables.

A woman in Sellicks Beach has had a slithering surprise, discovering a scaly house guest hiding behind her TV cabinet.

An Eastern brown snake found its way into the woman’s home, managing to camouflage itself among the tangle of TV cables.

She became aware of the snake only after the family dog scared it and it eventually slid out.

The Eastern brown was safely removed by the South Adelaide Snake Catchers.

The team said they released the snake back into the bush, encouraging others to “stay safe and be good to snakes”.
