SA-born bachelor contestant, Leah Cummings leaves the Bachelor, Thomas in tears after blind date

After showing up to a blind date in a wedding dress, this SA Bachelor contestant isn’t coming to play, leaving bachelor Thomas cutting onions.

Adelaide-local Bachelor contestant, Leah Cummings has left the bachelor in tears following a blind date on the show’s premier episode last night.

Perhaps in an attempt at foreshadowing, Cummings showed up to her blind date with bachelor, Thomas Malucelli in a floor-length lacy white gown.

“It’s not a wedding dress,” she exclaimed to the Italian-born bachelor.

But wedding bells were ringing at the conclusion of the date, as Malucelli was unable to control his emotions, crying tears of happiness, having found “the sweetest girl (he’s) ever met”.

“I’ve experienced something on that boat that I haven’t experienced before in my life,” he told audiences.

“I don’t know it was such a short interaction, I could literally see from her eyes her soul and she was the sweetest girl I’ve ever met.

“I’m tearing up right now.”

Cummings’ heart was also swelling saying it “was the best date (she’s) ever had”.

The two lovebirds met on a river bank, taking an Italian style gondola for a ride down stream.

While riding on the boat, Cummings wrote a note to Malucelli “to give a bit of insight into (her) life”.

“I come from a beautiful family with parents who have been married for 36 years. The loyalty and respect they have for each other is like water in the ocean, it’s always there.

“Truth this, love is kind of cool, it’s cool how someone can just pop in your life and all of a sudden you’re both falling, you are each others favourite feeling and together you’ll be each others favourite place to be.

“When I was little I dreamt of that fairytale ending, I’m ready to start that story but without the ending and hoping it could be with you.”

The Bachelor was moved by the note saying it showed him “she is someone who is looking for something deep, profound and special”.

Thomas said “and at that point I melted even more.”

“I’m not here to muck around,” Leah said.

“The dress gave that away,” Malucelli said.

“Oh my god no,” Leah said “it’s not a wedding dress.”

At the conclusion of the date, Malucelli offered a rose to Cummings, a sign he wants to continue to get to know the Adelaide-born woman.

“My biggest motto is get out of your head and into your heart, and it’s been all heart since you’ve been here in this conversation,” he said.

“Aww you’re giving me butterflies,” Cummings said.

Love is Cummings “missing piece” to her “puzzle”.

“I’m pretty much an old school romantic in a hook-up culture and it’s not working so I’m hoping it’s my time,” she said before her date with Malucelli.
