Chelsea Becirevic, the glamorous partner of Port Adelaide ruckman Ivan Soldo, has revealed she’s moving overseas to embark on a new career.
The model, marketer and influencer will base herself in Dubai, and begin a role with Emirates Airlines – but says the couple will continue a long-distance relationship.
Originally from the Gold Coast, Ms Becirevic admitted that living in Adelaide had been a “struggle”.
“It’s just not for me permanently. Temporarily it’s fine,” she told her 66,000 Instagram followers.
“He had to move to Adelaide for his career and tbh it’s been a struggle for me, so whilst he has to be here I’m gonna travel and do something I’ve always wanted to do.
“So will have to do long distance for a while, but it’s not forever. In the off season, planning for him to come and travel with me.
“At the end of the day we are only a flight away I guess.”
Ms Becirevic, who was planning to study biomedical science at university, first met ex-Richmond big man Soldo about two years ago, and moved to Adelaide with him late last year.
She said Emirates’ hiring process was “pretty intense” but the role was something she’s always dreamt of doing.
“Always wanted to work for Emirates, live in Dubai and travel the world,” wrote Ms Becirevic, who was previously employed in marketing for a fashion and bridal company.
“So that’s exactly what I’m gonna do. Never moved anywhere by myself, so it will be so good to gain some independence.
“I’ve always wanted to move overseas, so I think it’ll be an exciting next chapter for me.”
The couple regularly share affectionate snaps and videos of themselves on social media.
Late last year, Ms Becirevic said a long-distance relationship “wasn’t an option”.
“I know how much I would hate it and struggle, so just gonna embrace it,” she wrote.
“Tbh can’t say I ever thought I would ever move to Adelaide. But I am excited for a change and to experience somewhere new.
“I’ve never even been to Adelaide before so I actually have no idea what to expect … and I hear so many mixed reviews.
“Definitely going to miss Melb a lot, but I’ll be back and forth all the time anyway.”
