Olivia Molly Rogers has opened up on her journey with sobriety and getting back into drinking alcohol after 18 months sober.

The Adelaide-born former Miss Universe Australia posted to her Instagram broadcast channel, titled ‘A little bit more OMR’ sharing how she will go into her challenges with alcohol in her new podcast Tell Me More.

An Instagram user asked Rogers about her experience giving up alcohol on the channel.

“This is also something I’ll chat about on the podcast, I have so much more to say on this topic..I was alcohol free for 18 months but I do drink again now,” she wrote.

“I’m really glad I had the time off as I learned so much about myself in that period. I got to a point where I felt like I could reintroduce it & just drink when I feel like it, that’s where I’m at now.

“I enjoy having some drinks with my friends but also can go without when I want to & I have fun either way.”

Rogers, who went sober for 18 months following a 30-day dry month, previously told Dan Murphy’s blog Dan’s Daily about how she completely changed her relationship with alcohol after struggling with binge drinking.

“About two weeks in, I realised it felt pretty good to not drink,” she said.

After over a year sober, she decided a few drinks, here and there, would be fine.

“I used to binge drink and felt like I had to have a drink in my hand to be confident at social events,” she said.

Her new podcast will launch this month.
