Olivia Molly Rogers shares news she will freeze her eggs for pregnancy ‘security’

Whoa baby! Olivia Molly Rogers has shared some news with fans about her pregnancy journey.

Olivia Molly Rogers' break-up revelation

Olivia Molly Rogers is freezing her eggs to increase her chances of one day falling pregnant and she plans to share the personal journey with fans online.

In a video posted to TikTok, the Adelaide-born beauty queen has revealed she is going down the fertility preservation path for “security” in the future.

“It’s just reassurance down the track to know that my chance of getting pregnant when I want to get pregnant will be higher,” she said.

“I have previously gone through some fertility treatment. I was trying to get pregnant with an ex-partner, obviously that didn’t work out, which I think is a blessing.”

She said she had recently commenced the process, which included a trip to her doctor, an internal ultrasound and a visit with a nurse to discuss medication.

But it was a compulsory counselling session, which the Miss Universe Australia star said was most eye-opening.

“I didn’t really know what to expect,” she said.

“I got a little bit teary, I think because you go over your reasoning and what has gotten you to that point and it brought up some stuff for me,” she said.

But she said the session was “really interesting”.

“The one thing that we covered that has really had me thinking over the last two days is what you do with the eggs if you don’t use them,” she said.

“You can discard them … you can donate them to science or you can donate them to other people.

“They can be people that you choose, so could be friends or family, or it can just be random people.”

She said she wasn’t sure what option she would take.

“I think in theory donating your eggs to friends and family is so kind and thoughtful, but then it would also be so weird to have like a little you, someone with your genes, running around close to you,” she said.

“Anyway, I don’t need to decide now, I just wanted to talk about it.”

She said the egg freezing fertility process would cost her about $10,000.

Her medication and injections start in August before her egg retrieval thereafter.
