He’s long talked about it but the beloved South Australian media personality might finally be making his way home after more than a decade interstate.

Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald could be on the verge of a shock move back home to South Australia.

Rumours are swirling that the popular radio presenter, co-host of Nova’s Sydney breakfast show, is planning to return back to Adelaide with his family, perhaps as soon as the upcoming Christmas holidays.

The beloved former Crow and his wife Belinda have been building their dream home in his old suburb of Port Noarlunga.

It’s understood the beachfront property has been completed and is ready for the couple and their two sons, Hewston and Lennox, to move in.

Radio insiders say Fitzgerald, co-host of Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie breakfast show, will remain on-air and broadcast daily from Adelaide.

Fitzgerald declined to confirm a move to The Sunday Mail.

“We’re still working out what the show looks like from a production perspective as I navigate time between the two states I love,” said Fitzgerald, a regular guest on Seven’s The Front Bar.

“At the moment, the most important thing is that we will keep doing the show we love for the listeners who tune in each and every day.”

Fitzgerald has previously declared his intention to move back to SA at some point in the future.

“We will end up back at Port Noarlunga to live,” he said in 2015.

“I’m really enjoying my time in Sydney but I really want my kids to have that life … the childhood I had, I would not change it for the world.

“I fell in love with Port Noarlunga as a kid. I just loved it – I loved O’Sullivan Beach, Maslin Beach, Christies Beach, everywhere down south.”
