Nova Adelaide’s Ben Harvey, Liam Stapleton and Belle Jackson are heading back home

The popular Nova radio hosts have decided it’s time for a big change after more than two years in Melbourne.

Nova radio stars Ben Harvey, Liam Stapleton and Belle Jackson are packing their bags and making a full-time move back to Adelaide.

After more than two years in Melbourne, most recently as host of the station’s national Late Drive show, it’s believed the trio will head home within months.

The popular presenters will continue hosting the same program from Nova’s Hindmarsh Square studios, with no change expected to the station’s Adelaide line-up.

Their show producer, Ben McDowell, let slip the good news in a LinkedIn post on Friday morning.

“After an amazing run as Executive Producer of Nova’s national Late Drive show … I’ve decided not to relocate with the team as they venture back to Adelaide,” he wrote.

Harvey, Stapleton and Jackson have hosted the national 6-8pm weekday shift since March 2024.

Originally an on-air duo, Harvey and Stapleton added longtime producer Belle Jackson as they moved to Melbourne at the start of 2023, replacing outgoing trio Chrissie Swan, Jonathan Brown and Sam Pang in the high-profile shift.

Just over a year later, they were moved to the late drive timeslot, with Lauren Phillips and Jason Hawkins taking over Melbourne breakfast.

Harvey and Stapleton made their name as Triple J breakfast hosts, hosting the show for three years, before heading back home to front Nova Adelaide’s early morning show in 2020.

While they enjoyed their time in Melbourne, Stapleton told The Advertiser in April, 2024, that they hoped to move back home one day.

“Maybe some day we’ll be doing drive from Adelaide, that’d be nice,” he said at the time.

“I think honestly that is probably the dream – that’s probably been the dream from the start.”
